Husk is a student-run literary journal based at the University of Mary Washington. Our goal is to explore layers of self definition and narrate how perspectives of our own existence develop through prose, poetry, and visual art. We strive to examine all facets of identity and its surrounding misconceptions.
We value the process of writing as an outlet to recognize the self, as well as appreciate the relationship of the author and editor– as writers submit, we provide an outlet to express themselves: an opportunity to personally reflect on their own or others’ life experiences.
Please note, however, that Husk seeks to showcase only previously unpublished work. We hope that you take a moment to submit your work, and look forward to reviewing your submission.
